I’ll say yes.
Our world, and particularly the “do gooder” industry, needs more voices calling for change, progressive thought and most importantly, strong leaders open to doing things in a fundamentally different way. The nonprofit community has to rethink our game and focus on providing exceptional service, consistent results, and be market/donor focused so as to address causes in a way stakeholders are willing to underwrite. It’s not just enough to help children, puppies, and our seniors. We now must prove we can have impact and move the needle forward. This blog is about that fundamental change that must happen among people and organizations “doing good for the world”. While our mission is key to keep us focused, also have to see ourselves as businesses delivering value and earning repeat business and we need to behave as such.
